ellie is my show & sport prospect girl <3 she's a purebred finnish lapphund from proven show & working lines, & one of her uncles is one of the most titled lappies i've seen!! in time she'll collect her own share of titles as well! she's just a baby now, though, so, it's still just the basics. if you're in the market for a lappie of your own & would like to know more about her breeders, email me, but her full registered name & breeder's names are redacted on this site for my privacy.... i'll 100% talk about her breeders over email, though, if you're looking for a lappie of your own & want to know how to find a good breeder! or, if you want to get started in any purebred dog - i love helping find ethical breeders for any breed :))
she graduated from puppy class on 4/8/26 :)) next up some conformation classes & some barn hunt class with her sister! & the elephant in the room (her CGC.....) which is still going to take longer because i need to find a class for it with decent times & also because i want both girls to get it but liz is sooooo weird with new people & crowds so she's gonna take a lot longer then ellie will....
she loooooves finding new things to get into & getting into trouble lol. classic puppy behaivors!!!
ellie's diet
- proplan 30/20 puppy - primary diet, roughly 1/2 cup 3 times a day currently. in reality it's just however much kibble she'll eat each meal. she's picky :|
- proplan sport puppy wetfood - mixed with kibble & water. she loves her puppy gruel. lol.
- freeze dried goat's milk & freeze dried bone broth, mixed with water, alongside pumpkin puree for lickmats, food toppers, & teething toys
- whatever assorted treats lizzie gets that are puppy safe. her favorite is freeze dried salmon! but if her big sister is eating it then she needs to try too
ellie's gear:
- mostly pending! - she's still a babbyyy & therefore her main gear won't be purchased until she's full grown
- 50 ft & 30ft longline from big snoof dog gear - purchased because lizzie's longlines are so nice. won't be used until she's a bit larger, but they're here.
- ruffland intermediate crate (blue) - still hasn't shipped but its on order. baby girl needs to be crated in the car because she annoys her sister and yells the whole time otherwise. liz just gets a seatbelt
- her final gear will most likely be a quick release rolled leather collar & a leather harness but i am undecided for now
2026 goals with ellie:
- CGC, + general puppy socialization & confidence building
- PKD-T - and then we'll pause on persuing any further parkourdog titles until she's 18+ months, parkourdog is (rightly) limited to that age after PKD-T
- FDC - hinges on finding evaluators & places to train.
- training for conformation comps
